Process: How Dynamics and Load work
1. RealThermo Dynamics – Short-term measurement of building dynamics
Objective: To visualize the actual thermal behavior of an empty building.
Measurement period: 3–7 days
Measurement principle: Defined thermal impulse → building response
1.1 Preparing the building
- Building vacant
- Rooms defined as open/closed
- Measurement points defined
- Sources of interference documented
1.2 Installation of the measuring sensors
- Room and component sensors
- Heating surface sensors
- Data logger
1.3 Activation (thermal pulse)
- controlled heating
- defined heating output
- constant boundary conditions
1.4 Data Acquisition & Monitoring
- Temperature profiles
- Response times
- Storage behavior
- actual heat losses
1.5 Data Cleaning & Structuring
- Synchronisation
- Outlier removal
- physical structuring
1.6 Analysis of reaction patterns
- Rate of increase
- Cooling rates
- Delay times
- thermal characteristics
1.7 External physical assessment
- purely physical
- without recommendations
- without planning
2. RealThermo Load – Long-term measurement of the actual heating load
Objective: To determine the actual heating load of a heated building over weeks to months.
Measurement duration: several weeks up to a maximum of 1 year
Measurement principle: Real operating conditions → Energy input → Temperature profile → Real heating load
